I'll be the first to admit that when I first read about Shine Wellness in the local newspaper I dismissed them as just another yoga place. Not being a big fan of yoga (my brain just will not sit still for that long) I didn't think about it much after that. Then during the 12th Street Festival last year I happened to stumble in...
It was like all my girly fantasies had come true. Crystal chandeliers, furniture that I've purchased for my Victorian dollhouse in real life people size, all VEGAN treats, chocolates, cookies, so much tea and workshops. It was literally a feast for all the senses! Co-owner Gina Nelson was so kind as to show me around and really brought home to me what Shine Wellness is all about. It's a Space TO Shine, inside and out.
They have workshops for your tastebuds as well as your spiritual senses. They have classes to keep your body limber and to give you peace of mind. It's this incredibly beautiful space that brings about a sense of peace the moment you step in. It's like the Dalai Lama's living room if he had a tasty for whimsy (I hear he has a really great sense of humour so this is entirely possible).
If you haven't stopped into Shine yet, I highly recommend that you do. It has a little something for everyone and once you get to know owners Robin & Gina you'll understand what makes Shine so special is the incredible amount of love behind it.
