Coming Home Cafe is Kick Ass

It baffles me that I haven't written about the Coming Home Cafe, my ultimate favorite place to eat breakfast, yet on my blog. I've tweeted about them, posted of Facebook, mentioned them everywhere and talked to everyone about them yet I haven't written one single blog post.
My bad! So here it is:
After going vegan I realized that my favorite Sunday morning activity would no longer be applicable to me. I would not be having Sunday Brunch anymore. Yes I know that there are places to have breakfast out in Vancouver, but you don't know me. When I wake up, I want breakfast. I don't want to get all fancied up to get in the car to find parking to wait in line to order from a stranger breakfast. I want breakfast now. And tea. A lot of tea.
So a couple of years ago I shyly asked Coming Home Cafe if they would consider adding tofu scramble to the menu. I think they felt sorry for me and added it just to entertain me. But the tofu scramble on the menu stuck and sometimes when I'm sitting there devouring my Daiya Grilled Cheese sandwich and someone else orders the tofu scramble it makes my heart all warm and gushy!
Not only do they have tofu scramble (ask for yours with Michael's kick ass salsa) but they also have the most amazing melt in your mouth hash browns in existence. They are SO good. I'm sure people come from miles around to eat them. And they are VEGAN! There is also Daiya cheese for some tasty sandwiches and vegan cookies and cakes. Not to mention fair trade Kick Ass coffee.
If you haven't been to Coming Home Cafe, you really ought to go. In fact, I insist you go! As one of the amazing, lovely and incredible businesses that donated a prize for the Ultimate Vegan Contest you should give them extra love and go for breakfast there (or lunch) as much as you can!
